Vision & Mission

By creating a culture of deliberate excellence, Parkville Middle School will help each student maximize his/her potential to ensure his/her success in a global society.

In order to prepare all students for college and career success, we will foster a safe, positive, and equitable learning environment by building positive relationships, providing a relevant curriculum, holding high expectations for all students, encouraging collaboration and innovation, and focusing on meeting individual student needs.

Our mission:

We will provide a quality education for all students that will prepare them for the academic rigor of high school. We pledge to provide quality instruction every day in a safe and secure learning environment.

We believe that:

  • All students should be challenged to reach their full potential
  • Quality education requires an effective teacher in every classroom
  • Families and communities are essential partners in the educational process
  • Students and staff members should act with integrity, fairness, and in an ethical manner
  • Students benefit greatly from extracurricular activities
The Maryland Integrated Science Assessment (MISA) will be administered to all eighth grade students in their science classes beginning the week of March 13th.  The MISA replaces the former Maryland School Assessment (MSA) in science.
